A fair play trophy was given to one player from each team as follows:

Slovenia: Goradz Dolanc
Turkey: Tuncay Karakaya
Ukraine: Ruslan Berezin
Finland: Jarno Mattila

The best scorer with 27 goals is Ivan Vinkler from Slovenia, and the best referee is Kari Räsänen from Finland.

[29.6.08] Slovenia and Denmark back to group A
Slovenia won the final game against Denmark 3 - 1. In the bronze game Finland won Italy 2 - 0.  Czech Republic and Ukraine will be playing in group C in the next games.
Final results: 1. Slovenia 2. Denmark 3. Finland 4. Italy 5. Turkey 6. Great Britain 7. Ukraine 8. Czech Republic.

[28.6.08] Slovenia without loss

Slovenia is the only team without loss after six games. The most exiting game was between Denmark and Slovenia, with the result 4 - 3 for Slovenia. It is now confirmed that Slovenia is the winner of the round robin, and Denmark is second. Italia, Finland and Turkey will fight for the two other places for the semi-finals.

[27.6.08] Denmark and Slovenia were the teams of the opening day
Denmark and Slovenia won both of their games. Finland won Turkey 5 - 2, but was not so lucky for Denmark with result 4 - 7. See the results, listen the interviews and see the photos.
 
[26.6.08] The Opening Ceremonies

The opening ceremonies were on Thursday in Sport center Pajulahti. The welcoming addresses were delivered by the chairperson of the Finnish Federation of Visually Impaired Mauno Lehtinen, the mayor of the organizing municipality Nastola Pauli Syyrakki. The greetings from the Minister of Culture and Sport Stefan Wallin was deliverd by Timo Haukilahti from the Ministry of Education. The opening throw of the championships was performed by Timo Haukilahti and the multiple paralympic, world and European medallist Asko Kinnunen standed in the goal. The music was performed by opera singer Sirkka Parviainen and pianist Jouni Suntio.
